I Care! ;)

We have these "I Care" buttons at school...our principal gives them out to the staff and students when he finds them committing a random act of kindness, or going above and beyond the call of duty. Whenever he gives out a button, the person recieving it signs the "I Care" wall by the cafeteria. It's kind of a neat program and a good incentive to do the right thing. Even when you think no one is watching. ;)

Another two-fer. ;)

The top one was actually taken yesterday but I fiddled with the processing after being inspired by a thread on DPC about a comic book challenge. I wanted to see if I could make a comic book-ish look so there you have it, my sad attempt. The other one is of my feet, in my most-favorite sandals. Odd because I normally HATE anything between my toes (flip-flops make my skin crawl) but these are OK. Gotta love Wal-Mart! :)

The top pic is my day 11 entry for 30 in 30...a "rubber stamp" filter from PS Elements I have here at work. The other two are NOT my pics, but they are pics of the rings and the cake design we have decided upon...the cake, however, will be fondant icing instead of the buttercream. I'll also have a gold or a rust braid around the bottom of each layer, and probably only two layers instead of three. We've decided on amaretto cake. Tasty! :)

Day 8 of the 30 in 30 project...man, his one was tough to post. I have a really hard time looking at myself, especially in full-length shots. I'm not a petite flower, if you will. ;) I bit the bullet and decided it was time to just get it over with and let everyone see every flaw, roll, and bit of fluff that is me. Granted, I've lost 29 pounds since January, so it's better than it was, but I still have a long way to go. Yikes.

I used the draganizer action, a lomo action, and a moody action to achieve this processed look. Just something different from me! :)

Some of our bluebonnet pictures I took today...the bluebonnets are just really thin and awful this year because of the dry fall and few freezes, but I found one decent-sized patch and tried to make the most of it. It was really the way-wrong time of day to take pics but I was out and thought, "What the hell!" Clay was uncooperative, André was bored, but J.P. and Byron were willing to let me take a few of them. You see my day 7 self portrait for the 30 in 30 project as well. Hope others are enjoying the day off today as we are! :)

Day 5 of 30 in 30...a month of self portraits. Tired of my ugly mug yet???? LOL This is me with the first, most beautiful, perfect yellow rose from one of my yellow rose bushes this spring. I ADORE yellow roses. They're my favorite! :)

Me having my morning coffee at work today. I took this with the school's little 2.1 MP HP P&S cam, so it's probably noisy and icky but oh well...it was fast and easy! :)

Little bit of fun today on the way home from work...and no, I wasn't driving. ;)

I used an IR plugin for the first two, but ultimately, I like the last one best.

Oh...by the way...I won't bore you with details, but we've decided to get married again. :)
