OK, so it's no major production tonight, but unfortunately I think I might be coming down with strep throat so I've not moved a whole lot since getting home from work. ;)
I really have always wanted to learn to play the piano. I took lessons for two weeks when I was a kid but hated it...well, hated that my aunt was the teacher and she wasn't that much fun to hang out with. Maybe this year I'll learn to play. I'm sure there are local teachers here that are affordable. I think it would be very therapeutic. :)

Beautiful layout.
I hope you realize this! I've always wanted to play piano too.. but I don't have one.
Wow I bet you could make beautiful music, if you put as much energy into playing as you do your photography. Great presentation.
Oh good luck! It's a wonderful instrument to hear!
Funny that you took this same exact looking shot as the keyboard shot I shot in my basement yesterday! I didn't post mine though.....was just messing around. Could have though! We would have looked like we were swapping photos to post.
Have fun with your piano.
Nice shot! Love the simplicity. Good luck learning to play... and hope you feel better soon! :)
If this is something you've always wanted to do....
THEN DO IT! :-) And I mean that in a good way. I've been involved in music for years and it's had such a profound influence on my life. I have never once regretted the hours I spent in lessons and in practice. Even though I don't play in any ensembles right now, nothing soothes me more than to sit down at a piano, with my guitar, with my flute...and just play. It's one of those things in life that can be JUST for YOU...it's beautiful. Do it do it do it! You will not regret it, and I promise you that you are never too old to learn!
Great shot of the piano! I had to come see...not just because I like to visit here, but because someone got us confused again and sent me a PM saying "Great piano!"
One of the side benefits of playing an instrument and learning about music is that it results in a deeper appreciation of all music - even the stuff you hear on the radio.
There is a song by Sia called "Breathe Me" - you might have heard it if you watched the finale of "Six Feet Under" on HBO. Anyway, the song starts out with the most beautiful piano melody and when I saw this shot I was reminded of that song. The link is here:

Hope you feel better soon!
I like the soft lighting and the angle of the photo. Wish I had a piano...but that's another hobby I'll have to tackle later with photography currently running through my veins!
